Vengence
My blood is cold but my spirit is burning
For I lie dead by their wretched foul doing
Your songs are sad and the birds have fallen
No music flows from a heart so broken
Your turtledove fought with a rage unbidden
Yet I fell to a blade so cravenly hidden
I was your love, your Elune, your full moon’s light
But I was murdered on that cruel, bloody night
No wound heals when your foe was a brother
Your dove’s bloodied body forever your horror
Melody and quill won’t serve our sentence
So with arrow and dagger comes our VENGENCE!
A Thistlebear Among the Roses
I’m a thistle bear among the roses
My strength is useless here
Steadfastly I tread with grace and care
Yet so often do I stumble here
I’m a thistle bear among the roses
My pride is foolish here
Stubbornly I defy sting and thorn
Though truly I should kneel here
I’m a thistle bear among the roses
My roughness so obvious here
Supremely in awe of beauty and charm
So I’ll strive to be nobler here
I’m a thistle bear among the roses
My dreams are sweeter here
Soundly I sleep safe from harm
But I’m scared to roll over here
I’m a thistle bear among the roses
My soul is lighter here
Sincerely I savor scent and bloom
Thus blessed to find harmony here
I’m a thistle bear among the roses
My heart is happier here
Splendidly tickled by petals and breeze
So forever shall I shelter here
